Shauna 22, Teacher, Co. Kerry

In 10 words or less, tell us what your goal is?

To be kinder and more compassionate towards myself.

By the mid way point, I will feel more confident in myself and will be more self-aware of the way I talk to myself. I will journal everyday for at least 10-15 minutes.

Jack 26, Sales, Co.Down

In 10 words or less, tell us what your goal is?

Become a better version of myself and more of a leader.

Hold myself to a higher standard in training. Show up early and speak up more when needed. Become a voice inside my football team. I will do extra sessions on weight training, ball work and nutrition. I had a different goal to start the workshop session but I changed mine to focus more on me because I realised I need to work on myself first before I can start to help others and have a wider impact.

Sinead, 48, Nurse, Co.Dublin

In 10 words or less, tell us what your goal is?

To put my own needs first in a holistic way

By the mid way point, I see myself understanding what it means to me to feel more fulfilled both physically and mentally. I feel like I’m kind of stuck so I need to be accountable to someone as I tend to put myself last and my previous goals have rarely been completed.

Ronan, 28, Marketing, Co. Dublin

In 10 words or less, tell us what your goal is?

To explore my personality and identity, to better understand what it is I feel I am lacking,

either in external areas or within myself.

I will meditate 2-3 times a week. I will journal weekly to try to understand how I am feeling. I will practice self-expression every week.

Onyinye, 28, Engineer, Co. Cork

In 10 words or less, tell us what your goal is?

The goal is to keep the promises I make to myself, starting with becoming a better and faster runner. By the mid way point, I will have completed my first 10K race, 12.5K, and 15K run (August 27th).

Doing this for myself will help me build a better and more trusting relationship with myself because I set out to complete something and I followed through regardless of obstacles.

Sarah, 37, Stay-at-Home Mother, Co. Dublin

In 10 words or less, tell us what your goal is?

To prepare myself physically and mentally for change.

By the mid way point, I will be taking 5 periods of time each week to work on my physical and mental wellbeing (Gym, Walking, Reading). I'm ready to rediscover who I am again and try to gain some confidence and independence. I want to feel content with where I am in life and in time feel strong.

Shane, 45, CEO, Co. Dublin

In 10 words or less, tell us what your goal is?

To remove roadblocks from getting exercise and to enjoy it!

By the mid way point, I will complete more consistent and beneficial exercise than I have in any month for the past 10 years. Plus I will confirm to everyone that I believe it is sustainable.

Triona, 50, Administrator, Co. Kerry

In 10 words or less, tell us what your goal is?

Actively participate in life/feel alive and be active.

By the mid way point, I will be actively pursuing and training for my physical goals, I will see a noticeable change in my mindset and ‘stop going through the motions’, I will appreciate the small wins, I will stop over thinking/analysing everything. I will be a more positive person.  I will challenge myself more, set mini goals geared toward reaching the physical goals I want to achieve and maintain consistency.
